The new branding and decal package for the Quiver Killer is based on the same bullet theme, the decal was changed from the stubby speeding bullet of the ShortRound to the stretched, pointy Spitzer influenced round. The key is the surface are and volume are still generous so the Quiver Killer still performs really well in all but the smallest conditions when you'll have to break out your true groveller. The result is a very kind-on-the-eye, minimalistic shape with a continuous curve. ![]() No drastic changes were made to the width at the front fins so the board still kept it's small wave capabilities. As with any surfboard the less rail submerged at any one time increases the boards ability to turn faster and easier and enables it to fit in the more critical sections of the wave. The Starting point was the standard Lost ShortRound, the length was reduced by a couple of inches, the nose to tail rocker was increased, the nose was tucked in a bit and then the tail was changed to a forgiving "thumb" tail. Matt had delivered quite a few of these "thumb" tail boards and was getting some really positive feed back, it was at this point he realized this board deserved its own name and the Quiver Killer was born. The requests were coming in thick and fast for round tail versions of the ShortRound, with a little more rocker and some fine tuning of the nose and tail outlines.
